My interview is scheduled on Mar5th in Chennai,India. My visa category is CR1. I got my medical done.

My questions

1. Do I have to submit any documents (DS-230, medical report, etc) to VFS office prior to interview? If yes, then please share your experiences.

2. Do I have to pay the visa courier fees at VFS office prior to the interview? If yes, How many days in advance?

Yes, you need to submit medical report to VFS. They will ask for Appointment letter, your Passport, and copy of DS-230. Take other documents with you just incase.

2. Do I have to pay the visa courier fees at VFS office prior to the interview? If yes, How many days in advance?

Yes, you need to pay the courier fee at VFS office prior to the interview. It's Rs. 387, and you can pay it in cash. You have to submit the medical and pay the courier fee 7-10 days prior to the interview.

If I submit my passport at VFS office, Can I enter the consulate on interview day?

I mean the passport is required to show at consulate entrance along with Interview letter.

You just show your Passport at VFS and they put some kind of sticker on it. You don't have to give it to them. lol.

Does the VFS accept proof of bonafide relationship?

MEDICAL

INTERVIEW LETTER

PASSPORT

3 PASSPORT SIZE PICTURES

COURIER FEE OF 397/-

DS230

Anything else?
