You're being selectively politically correct simply because you associate yourself with the label. So should we make a list of occupations that nobody should be allowed to make fun of? How about community organizer? That one seems to get a real tickle among Right Wingers these days?

There's a difference to basing qualifications of a job based on another job (i.e. - a community organizer is not solely a successful qualification to be president, which I agree btw), but to imply that a whole group of people is intellectually inferior is just plain ignorant.

I'd be annoyed even if it wasn't a group that I 'associate with the label'. I'm extra annoyed because I know what kind of intelligence is needed to get a license, what kind of education is required...biology, chemistry, etc....let alone hairdressers who successfully operate their own businesses. Yeah, you're smarter than Paul Mitchell, for instance...you're more qualified to talk politics than some hairdresser who successfully branded his name across the entire globe. Hah.
