Calling all PINAY ( who just arrive this YEAR here in USA)

I arrived in Texas October 20, 2009. Ive enjoyed my Christmas and New Year's celebration with my honeybunch, had prepared dinner then after went from one friend's place to another. But I must say, walang mas sasaya pag nsa Pinas ka ! Ive met my honey's workmates and bosses,too, and played bowling with them during their Christmas party. Ive baked eggpies and he brought 'em at work . Ive met filipino couples who are members of AFAA. Aryle, who's at her senior age, has been a mother and friend to me. Shes taking me to places during her dayoffs. Chuck's friends are my friends. And I keep expanding my circle of friends at the gym ,as well.

I keep in touch with my family and friends thru skype,ym,and facebook...I miss papa,mama, my brothers, sister- in-laws, and nephew and nieces. I love them calling me "tita" and I miss their tight hug and kisses..miss' em all ! Cant wait to pack my pasalubong to them, hopefully next year

Oh btw, I just had my biometrics this morning, and my case is transferred to California Service Center .

Hello everyone...

I am here in Odessa, Texas originally from Consolacion Cebu. I got here on october 14 2009..We got married on november 25th...Everything is fine here except for the unfriendly weather...I am always wearing a jacket even i turned the heater on(gosh so called) I also experienced my first snow on December..that was unforgettable, my husband and i really had fun playing the snow..My husband's family are all very nice to me..from parents in law till grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins..my husband's aunt was always inviting me to go out wherever she likes to go..My mom in law also will take me out to her pool tournament sometimes..

And Just like you ladies, i dont like their food here too...Im glad my mom in law had found an asian store and glad the owner is a filipina..so most of their products are from Philippines..My husband got me a filipino channel too so that i wont miss the shows and movies there in Philippines...I dont feel homesick yet coz i talk to my parents everyday..they are 24 hours online.....

Anyway, i am currently working in a hotel here just a couple minutes walk from our house, i got so bored lately so i decided to walk in and asked if they have available...i worked there for a month already and never had any problems...in fact i have met lots of friends , mostly are mexicans..I am also starting to learn spanish..I will be working there until this week only coz i was hired as a call center agent at telvista..and i am going to start next week...I am also few weeks pregnant(not so sure how many weeks) we just found it last week..and everybody are very happy about the good news....Weeee our family will be complete pretty soon..

Hello I just arrived here in Jackson, WY last sunday. Gising ako kasi nag-aadjust pa sa time but hoping to get over soon. I was bringing Manggang Hilaw at hinog but hindi pinalusot sa customs, kainis. Hirap din ang Filipino food dito dahil more or less 30 lang ang mga pinoy dito.. Second time ko na dito pero dati may nakakain pa akong filipino food, pero ngayon, magiging kambing na ulit ako dahil kakain na talaga ako ng fresh vegetable salds. hahaha. Still busy meeting some relatives and friends pero hopefully in a week matatapos din to and try to settle down everything in the house.

My new life is new. Different from what I knew my whole life. Ha ha ha.

Can't wait to get my EAD and start working. All this TV and internet is becoming boring

Hello! Congrats on your baby! Magkalapit lang tayo ng date of arrival. Nov. 20 ako dumating dito, so malapit na akong mag-1 month! Ang pinakamalaking adjustment sa akin e ung cold weather kasi madali akong lamigin! (BRRRRRR!!!) Dapat palagi akong nakatapat sa heater namin sa apartment. Hehehe!

Hindi naman ako nalulungkot dito. Paminsan-minsan sinasama ako ng fiance ko sa work niya. (Ok lang naman un sa mga kasamahan niya. ) Tsaka, madalas kaming lumabas ng mga friends niya kaya masaya rin! May mga Pinay friends (from high school) ako, kaya lang sa ibang states sila nakatira, so hanggang text at tawagan lang kami.

Masaya ang thanksgiving experience ko, pero mamimiss ko ang Pasko at Bagong Taon sa P'nas!

Next month, ikakasal na kami! YAY!!!
