Hi everybody,

Do you have recommendations for a civil surgeon in Rhode Island or southern MA? I got a list from the USCIS website and called the one nearest to where I live (Providence). He charges $500 and will not negotiate. I have proof of all shots, so will only need whatever else is absolutely required (which I understand is the medical and the lab work).

Thanks in advance,

Aida

please fill in your timeline, it doesnt state what you are filing for or doing. If your medical is still within its 1 year validity period you do not need a medical nor lab work. ALL you need is the 693 vaccination transcription and sign off of the civil surgeon. The papers are then sealed in an envelope which you DO NOT OPEN.

If your medical is over a year old then you need the complete medical.

Hi,

thanks for responding.

I have lived in the US for a while on a work visa and then got married, so I don't have the usual K1 paperwork or the medical exam. Having read the information on the USCIS website as well as here, it seems that the only labwork that's actually required is for HIV/AIDS and syphilis. Is that correct.

Again, if anyone has any information about civil surgeons in RI or southern MA, please let me know.

Thanks.
