Hi to all. I'm new here and my fiance' was the one who told me that this site could be helpful to answer some questions that i ahve in my mind. We already got the approval last week and now waiting for the letter from the embassy to schedule for interview. But, the problem is we commit a mistake upon my birth place. We wrote an incorrect birthplace on our forms. Can that affect for my interview and subject to denial? huhuhuhu..I'm really worried about this. Somebody answer this pls...thanks

Fill your timeline.

Your birthplace is wrong?

Like instead of Manila Philippines you placed Cebu Philippines?

Explain more and more info please.

Well, what happened was...when we were filling out the forms..i was referring my birth place on my baptismal, which is wrong. I haven't got the NSO birth cert at that time yet, so i did refer to my baptismal which i had in hand. Instead of Baybay Leyte(the right one), i put there Palo Leyte(referred at my baptismal). I did went to our province to correct my Baptismal..and now it has the same birth place with my NSO birth cert. Now. what would happen during the interview then? Will the consulate let me correct it? or just direct me to denial?

Her timeline is the same is mine, that's cuz we're engaged ;)

Well, we received our NOA2 recently. But the USCIS did not notice anything about the wrong Place of Birth on the I-129F. I'm wondering if it would be better to not bring it up at the interview...or at what point would it be good to inform them of this error?

The problem is, we're not totally sure that there was a mistake or not. Her Place of Birth is Baybay, Leyte...but I *might* have put Palo, Leyte on there. I wish I had a backup copy of the I-129F to see what I put on there.
