Hi, everybody...

Recently I sent my AOS package. In all petitions I used MY last name, not my husband's. ( I just didnt know that I could do that, thought I should put all the data as it shown on my SSN). But the matter, that I DO want my husband's last name.

Do I have only this scenario to change my last name on ALL my documents?:

1.When I get my EAD, I will go to SS office with my marriage certificate, I will change my SSN on my husband's last name.

2. With my new SSN, I will change my DL/bank cards,etc

3.When my Green Card is in my hands I will send I-90 for replacement of my green card(changing name) and pay another fee for that?

Help is really appreciated. Thank you beforehand.

13 Oct, 2009 - AOS package sent (I485/I130+supporting documents)

14 Oct, 2009 - AOS package delivered: CHICAGO lockbox, IL 60680

21 Oct, 2009 - NOA's1 received, dated October 20,2009

22 Oct, 2009 - Checks cashed ($1,010 and $355)

26 Oct, 2009 - Biometrics letter scheduled on 12 Nov, 2009

29 Oct, 2009 - I-130 and I-765 touched

3 Nov, 2009 - Walk-in biometric done (Chicago)

4 Nov, 2009 - I-485 and I-765 touched

12 Nov, 2009 - Original bio appointment

11 January, 2010 - AOS interview(no updates online though)

4 December, 2009 - EAD approved.(card production ordered)

7 December, 2009 - EAD touched

9 December, 2009 - EAD card production ordered again

10 December, 2009 - EAD touched

14 December, 2009 - Approval of EAD e-mail

16 December, 2009 - EAD card in my mail

31 December - I-131,I-485 touches

11 January, 2010 - AOS Interview APPROVED!!!

12 January, 2010 - card production ordered (email updated)

14 January, 2010 - Got NOAs regarding I-130 and I-485 approvals

19 January, 20010 - GREEN CARD IN THE MAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
