Hello,

I am a little confuse about my situation and i was woundering if you can help me or direct me to the right people so i can get the right informations.

I am a canadian citizen who is planning to marry a american citizen, i know that he needs to send the application of the 325 and the K1 with all of his and my info proof of citizenship (passport and all) but my question is that i am withchild and we want to be marry now and be together through out the pregnancy... as soon as we can...

I know that a canadian is allowed to be a long term visitor up to 6 months...

But is there something special i need to do...a special form or another kind of application, for a long term visitor?

And is it a safe and possible according to your laws of immagration?.

Last thing i want is not to be legal or make any mistake, then be deported and never to be able to be together again.

First of all you need to read the FAQ and Guides before making a decision as to what to do.

You have two options.

1. File a I-129F petition (Fiancee visa) now and wait to be married until it is complete. Currently (depending on situation and where you have to file) could take up to 6 to 8 months.

2. Get married, File a I-130 (spousal visa) and wait until is complete before moving to US.

Now can you come and stay for 6 months in the US in the mean time? Well alot depends on how lucky you are at the Point of entry (POE). There are alot of horror stories about people being denied entry while waiting for fiancee or spousal visas, because they could not prove intent to return to home country. It is chancy thing, but many have done it.

Being pregnant (unless you have overriding medical reasons) is not grounds to have the process sped up.

Also check the regional forums here on VJ as some of your countrymen might be able to give you more info on coming to visit during the process.
