DOS gave me appointment date for K1 in manila?????

So NVC sent our petition to Manila USEM Oct 07... I have been calling the embassy 888 number to get an interview.. and everyday I have been getting the same answer.. they cant schedule an interview because the hard copy docs are not there yet... so, I got worried that it had been lost so today I called NVC they confirmed it had been sent.. then I called DOS they said Congrats..your interview is November 20, 2009 @7:00 am.

well tonight I called back to the embassy to try to get the appointment changed to earlier.. the embassy asked how I got the interview date.. I told them.. then they acted like I was crazy.. and said to call back in 2 - 4 weeks to try to change it...

anyone got a clue whats going on?
