Couples on the brink of divorce will be offered free second honeymoons to save their marriages by a Malaysian state government. Ashaari Idris, a government official in Terengganu state, says troubled couples will be allowed to spend two nights at the state's scenic islands or beach resorts to help them rekindle their romance under a the programme. Ashaari said the state government hoped to launch the plan soon "to resolve marital problems and to create models of exemplary families". He said couples on the programme would have to undergo counselling.
