Ok so I know that we haven't got our NOA2 or anything but I've been trying to get all of my tax returns and stuff togather, so I don't have to rush. I have read everywhere where in the application they ask for "police certificates" what are they and are they really necessary? Also where can you get them in Mexico?

You don't need this for the K1 in Mexico unless your SO has been in trouble before. My fiance got his just to have it, but has never had a run in with the police. He went to his local police station where he lives and just asked...no cost.
