I have lived in the US for 35years as a Permanent Resident (Yeah, I know, when this is all done I will go in for citizenship). When I went to renew my license, they told me that I needed to renew my green card first.

I submitted my I-90 form online and I am now in the waiting process. In the meantime, how can I prove to the DMV that I am in this process. Is there anyway that I can get them to renew my license or defer my expiration date.
