Guys,

I was flicking through a book on the G325A form and I noticed it said that the bit that says:

"This form is submitted in connection with"

should say:

US CITIZEN: check 'other' and write 'in support of spouse's i-130'

SPOUSE: check 'status as permanent resident'

Is this true? This almost caught me out - I had ticked both as 'status as permanenet resident' as technically the US CITIZEN is submitting their form IN CONNECTION WITH the SPOUSE's application. Luckily the forms weren't mailed yet.

ALSO - in the black thick box at the bottom that says APPLICANT, I assume the US Citizen fills out their details in their form, and the SPOUSE fills out their details on their g325a?

Cheers,

Mike

Hi!

I remember wondering what to check or write in that box. This is what we ended up doing and had no problems:

U.S. citizen: „other“ IR1 for spouse

Spouse: „other“ IR1 visa

And you are correct in the second part of your post. You complete (with your biographic data) and sign your G325A and the spouse hers/his (with her/his details).

Good luck!

The woman at USCIS said my wife should write 'other' and I should wrote 'status as permanent resident' - I wish these forms weren't so mangly.
