What amazes me how you even get into a relationship with such a person.

Unless it were to develop after-the-fact.

When I meet someone, as soon as I see traits or behaviors incompatible with mine, I just move on.

;)

But in matters of love, sometimes rational thought just goes out the window, and judgement gets clouded, denial sets in and people marry the wrong person. Look out the the BPD! These types twist ya inside out and become a Fatal Attraction

I was diagnosed with BPD as a teenager. Relationship instability can be a part of BPD, but it's not necessary. I am very self-destructive but the continued love and support of my husband over these last eight years has helped me tremendously in becoming the (better? more stable? not institutionalized?) person that I am today.

We've certainly had our ups and downs. It hasn't always been easy, but what relationship is?

So, yes, I take offense with the OP.

Sorry, I did not intend to offend. Peace.
