Perm Resident Working in Canada-Possible?

:goofy: Hello. My husband has his 10 year GC. He was laid off work the end of June and obviously desparate for another job. There might be some temporary contract work up in Novia Scotia, Canada but we didn't know with him being a permanent resident if there was any stipulation barring him from working in Canada temporarily or not. Anyone know? Also, we wondered if he did get to do this, would he be taxed in Canada and the U.S.? Seems like he would just be taxed in Canada, but if his permanent physical residence was still in the U.S., would the U.S. not try to take money for taxes? Thanks! :goofy:
