If incase you have 5 hrs layover before your next trip, don't worry about it. Time goes fast actually. I had 4 hrs waiting at Newark Airport but with all the walking from the time i arrived there and going to the next waiting lounge, 4 hrs was just enough for me. Was able to rest and refresh, call my fiance and ate.

hi to all

anyone here fly by eva air? we are contemplating between eva air and hawaiian airlines to sac,ca..... the former is really cheap at 431usd(inclusive of tax) one way on sept but are there any issues at taipei stop-over? if ever i will have 5 hrs of waiting to leave again to sac. Will i be able to go out the airport for window shopping perhaps just to burn my time? ive been to taiwan (taipei)before but on work visa so i dont know if we needed visa to be able to get out of the airport while waiting on board again.

or other airline suggestions are welcome. :star:

thank u for reading and replying..... bless to everyone

I just take my laptop and watch some Hulu on the layover... wifi is a great thing for layovers... always pack a few DVDS just in case there is no wifi...

agree! i never thought of that :bonk: i have numerous movies in my pc so thats a great suggestion. thank you :star:

no agent/s... my SO is booking for me...been trying to contact an agent....sort of real person to talk with ....but i gave up.... so we're booking on line thru kayak website... am not in pi yet so kinda harder for me to scout for travel agencies but be flying from pi to US.

can u still recommend anyone?

anyway...id be checking the eva air this week.... but i want to hear from u guys..... first hand experience is the best

thank u for the quick reply :)

We found the best rates on Cheapoair.com this year, but since ticket prices change so frequently it takes a lot of searching to get the best price. If you do a search on VJ there have been a couple recent posts with great suggestions on finding tickets here in the Phil forum

do you think we can still find cheaper than this 431 usd? thank you for the recommendation, will check it. :star:

helo... yeah i availed the $431 fare but i paid $488 cuz they let me pay for the taxes...all u need to do to avail it...is to buy it in their website using ur ATM ( not ur fiance) cuz in NAIA airport, they will look for the ATM which u used when u purchased the ticket...it's cheap right?? and eva air offers good meal...i liked eva air...it's clean and accommodating...

huh?why would it matter if its the fiance who bought the tickets? afterall isn't it why u are his fiancee? it makes sense if its a visit visa but i find it odd they have to be specific whos ATM has been used to purchase. ohh well....if thats the way to avail it, i guess we have to follow.

anyone else that bought their tickets this way? is it mandatory that the person travelling should prove that s/he bought the ticket with his/her own ATM?

thank you babydoll_kendoll for the information. it is cheap, indeed. hope we can avail it.

bless everyone

hi to all

anyone here fly by eva air? we are contemplating between eva air and hawaiian airlines to sac,ca..... the former is really cheap at 431usd(inclusive of tax) one way on sept but are there any issues at taipei stop-over? if ever i will have 5 hrs of waiting to leave again to sac. Will i be able to go out the airport for window shopping perhaps just to burn my time? ive been to taiwan (taipei)before but on work visa so i dont know if we needed visa to be able to get out of the airport while waiting on board again.

or other airline suggestions are welcome. :star:

hi there! i am not really sure with eva air in terms of stop over but what i know for sure is that once you're in for a stop over you're not allowed to get out of the airport. any airlines will do... if you find good deals that's within your budget then go for it. i know for a fact that Hawaiian Airlines is somehow cheap with a 70lbs/each check in baggage allowance compared to the other airlines, i've also find china air is one of the cheapest also. i guess the only airline im pretty much hesitant of taking as of this moment is korean maybe because of the threat of nuclear... hope that this helps... good luck.
