At the U.S. Embassy in Egypt, what do they mean by "your case is pending the consular's final review"?

We are not under administrative review or anything, & we're 100% sure of this because the consular officer called us & we asked her about it. Anyway, what happened was that they lost one of our documents, so we had to resubmit it again and send it by DHL. They received our paperwork, but they have not sent us the visa yet. It has been almost 2 months & when we contact them by e-mail, they ALWAYS respond to us with the same message. What do they mean exactly by "your case is pending the consular's final review"????

Thanks for all your help in advance. We really appreciate it.

Administration Process. You should be hearing something soon INSHALLAH. You are almost there. Think of it this way. They could of sent your case back to USCIS, but they didn't. So let them continue to run their checks. It is typical for it to take a couple of months in Egypt, but rarely do you ever see anyone get his/her visa fast, although it does happen on rare occassions. Just stay encouraged.

Thanks for your help MENAFOR LIFE, but it's NOT AP. The consular officer told us not to worry because we were not on AP. She told us this at the interview, and then again recently when she called us. Then a few days ago we contacted the embassy by e-mail & they told us the same thing again..... NO AP.
