:help: I'm becoming concerned. We haven't heard anything from the London embassy and we sent in out paperwork in May. I've seen a few postings today that say people are getting 28 day turnaround for the approvals. Should I be worried?? Cause I really am! Does anyone have any idea how I can check on it? Really freaking out now.

We haven't gotten my ILR (indefinite leave to remain) as we want to move to the states. If we don't get that approval and get the last half of the visa taken care of soon, I'll have to leave the UK and my husband! I'm not pleased about this. I love my husby.

:help:

Not a happy bunny.

The embassy website has shown the 21st of May as a processing date for some time now. One other couple who filed around the same time has just received information denying the application. They were unable to prove the residence part of the application. I filed on the 16th of April, and the website showed the 16th of April for several weeks, and I received an RFE. And as soon as we sent in the required documents we were approved. As for you having to leave, that is ok. Once you have received the NOA1, you can leave and the Embassy will still process the application. You will have already proved residency. I know that leaving is really hard. We have not had that problem. You could always wait for your residency to expire and then just fly to Amsterdam and come back as a visitor. Or go through the ILR process. Hope things work out for you.

I agree with JGA - hopefully you'll hear something soon as they've been processing May 21 since 08/June when we first started out process. If the processing site updates their information and filing date they are working on and you've still heard nothing, perhaps you can call the extortion line to check on your filing status??

Good luck, I hope you hear something soon!

Perhaps you should apply for an extension of your current visa with the home office - http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/ukreside...endingyourstay/ - otherwise you will have your own issues should you change your mind and decide to reside in the UK. An extension of your current visa will buy you time as you wait for the US paperwork to come through and should these results not be favourable - won't effect your ability to go for ILR in the UK. If you don't do this - you will have to return to the US and start again on a 2 year temporary visa - a real pain if you do decide to settle in the UK...

Hope this helps :)
