Does anyone know if PIA requires you to get the Transit Visa for UK? At one point, they did so but then I haven't travelled PIA in years so don't know if they still do it.

Hubby may end up taking PIA because Kuwait is for 9/11 or 9/18.. I don't him to arrive at JFK on 9/11, immigration may take longer and 9/18 is tooo far.. Etihad is 74k (PIA is 67k) and there is no seat for Qatar until the end of Sept. :-(

waiting4approval, my brother came last year, and he took PIA, he didnt need any transit visa for UK, i think, you only need the visa if you are planning on leaving the terminal. But you can always confirm with the travel agent or the airlines. And i totally agree, coming to US on 9/11 is deffinitely not a good idea. Not that they will do anything, but they might take extra extra long for immigration.

He picked up the passport from AMEX in Karachi two days after the visa was issued!

The CO kept the passport at the interview so it was kinda quick!

I don't have the number but she shoudl have it on the white paper which she received with the pink ticket (serial number for the passprt) I remember seeing a list of numbers there.. CO told us to pick it up from Shaheen Complex when ready and then embassy just called him to do so.. Hopefully you will get the passport back before Sept. 5th..what did they tell her for estimated time?

Do you mind telling me how much was the ticket for JFK? My husband got the quote for 74k from etihad and 67k from PIA..since PIA is direct most probably we will go with that but still not sure!
