My husband applied for immigration for his sister in 1998. She just recently had her interview in Islamabad Pakistan on March 11. They haven't heard anything after the interview so I called some place in Washington to see if I could find anything out. All they would tell me is that it is basically being held up due to administrative processing on the husbands file. I took that to mean name checks, background checks. Is there any sort of time frame.. any one with experience know how long this could possibly take? Thanks in advance for any information. :)

Its unknown..can take months or years. Search around this forum and you may find more information.

06/23/2010 : Check Cashed
06/26/2010 : Received NOA
03/20/2012 : Received RFE(I-797E)
05/23/2012: Application approved after RFE response
06/29/2012: Received letter from NVC

06/03/2015: Change petition from F1 to F3 category
