Following intervie preparation document for Mumbai embassy has note (on last page) that says that you will need interview letter to get Passport office PCC. So you can submit your IV package without submitting PCC from Passport office.

http://travel.state.gov/pdf/supplements/BM...L-0001-0902.pdf

How did I missed that statement?

Very good find yaar.. excellent.. then i'll simply send all the documents without PCC then....

Hello Mr simps,

Good to hear that you are from town around I am from, actually my wife is from Timbarva... and below are the documents and process she followed.

For local PCC:

First she went to some office in Baroda (not sure but i guess, Kuber Bhavan or District Police station or some office) where they provided her with a packet to be completed from your local Taluka Police Station (For her its Shinor Taluka).

She Went to Shinor PI Office and filled the documents that were provided; Next she has to go back to Baroda Office where they completed the package and gave her Police certificate in sealed envolop to get it signed from Local PS (Shinor Taluka Police Station).

After signing the PCC from Local PI, she went back again to Baroda PI Office and then District PI signed on it. finally they gave her Sealed envolope to take it to Ghandhinagar and get it signed from there before she can take that District PCC to Passport Office.

NOTE: There may be some steps or process I may be missing; check with the Agane but this is the 90% of the process. Also I believe they dont give Envolopes in your hand to get it signed, they mail it.. but you can request that "Can you posibilly take this and get it cleared?" because if they mail it it taked longer time.

For my wife to finish above process it took 2 weeks luckily. Good Luck with LOCAL PCC.

For Regional PCC:

Documents requirement:

- DS-3032 (Choice of Agent Letter)

- Checklist Letter that you will receive once you pay the $400 DS-230 fee(Optional, above letter should work)

- District PCC

- And any other document you received from NVC with Liberty Color Picture (Optional, but if available it helps).

- http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html (May be you want to get color Print out of this document. This will help as well)

Now GOOD LUCK with all.

For the exact name and location I'll have to talk to my wify and let you know 2moro.... and you cannot just visit your local police station cus they will ask you for a package ...

and i agree with waitingforhoney to wait till NOA2 you'll have enough time between NOA2 and IV package submitment.... so this is just a caution if District office ask for that papers or not...

and when did you received your NOA1 and from where? Is it Vermont or California????

I want to comment on getting both PCC

As Desidon mentioned about the getting local police office PCC, we followed the same process to get the PCC from SURAT police station.

To get a Passport office PCC, we used color printout of I-130 approval latter, believe it or not it works. We got the passport office one in just 4 days.

Also you will get two copies from passport office.

BTW, Desidon, i have also sent my DS-230 today.

I-130 Visa Application

204 days to approve I-130

NVC

43 Days To approve appliation at NVC

Removign Condition from greencard

2011-09-25 ; Greencard Expire

2011-06-27 : application filed 91 days to go before Greencard expire
