My biggest holding right now is RMIX with 40K shares at an avg. price of about 77 cents. Hoping for an early Xmas gift...

Pretty damn sure I'll get that Xmas present I wanted.

I was speaking of the "pincher setup". It is the best bottom play technique out there in my opinion. It is when the PPO (black line) and the ADX (black line) begin to pinch together. What happens is all of a sudden the stock will get a huge bounce. I'll show some examples later today but here is an example with RMIX (and this is just the beginning of the reversal). I am looking for $1.25 on RMIX...Here is a timeline of the stock chart (NOV 21, DEC 4, DEC 7). Watch how the lines pinch together and then diverge. Hopefully I can show a chart of RMIX over $1 later this week or even later today....

Day high $1.01. Close $0.97. This is the pincher effect. Still should move another 25% before week ends (possible by tomorrow):

Called that from a mile away. Last $1.19. Up 22.68% today.

Pretty good pick, hit $1.23 again today

Thanks! I almost sold half at $1.12 but canceled the order. Recovered nicely from today's bottom $1.06. Ended up selling 1K shares at $1.12 and then trying to buy them back at $1.06 but didn't get filled.

I purchased BGP yesterday at $1.05 five minutes before the close (precise day low) and sold today at $1.29.

I purchased MW yesterday after hours at $18.25 and sold this morning at $19 (too early).

I purchased RZ today at $1.20 and am down a couple cents.

I am looking to load up some KFS tomorrow or Friday: maybe! Will post chart later today.

BGP is up over 20% right now...

Bought AKNS @ $1.47. Akeena Solar, Inc. closed @ $1.55

AKNS said its Andalay AC panels are now available at 21 Lowe's home improvement stores throughout California. The news has shares of Akeena higher by more than 65 percent in the pre-market on our Heat Seeker tracking system, as they trade from $0.99 to $1.65.

I shorted Ford [F] @ $9.04. Will cut losses quickly if F goes up tomorrow and either move on or look to re-short at $9.50. Closed at $9.05 so I am down 1 penny. Mental stop around $9.20.

BGP hit $1.55 day high today. I bought at $1.05 on Tuesday but sold yesterday at $1.29.

Pincher experiment:

Let's see how this pincher play reacts. I got in today with $4K worth at $0.065. Closed at $0.07. A pincher is when the PPO line gets really low and the ADX line gets really high and they start pinching together. Once they diverge the share price jumps and time to sell. Check the black lines for the PPO/ADX and see how close they are.

Another reason why .065 looked like a good entry, bounced off this level in OCT 2008:

I purchased RZ today at $1.20 and am down a couple cents.

I am looking to load up some KFS tomorrow or Friday: maybe! Will post chart later today.

RZ popped today up 16% to $1.37....I have 10K shares at $1.20 so this will most likely kick off my first realized gain of 2010 with 1.5-2.5K in profits.

I added to PSRU which is an OTCBB stock which are highly dangerous. I have 100K shares average at about .06 / .061. PSRU last trade .055.

Left KFS on the quote box because it hit $2.20 last week and on December 9th it closed at $1.15 (but I never got in!).

My first 2 gains of the year will be for sure RZ and hopefully PSRU....I will try to keep this thread updated as I hope to make at least 50K for the year 2010 as long as I stay away from options. I can lose a thousand or two in a matter of minutes in options!! Just started dabbling in them these last few months and it has set me back more than 10K but still have a big gain for 2009.

Another stock I have been in for months now is WNR with about 5600 shares at a $5.50 or so average. I like this one a lot for 2010. Last trade on WNR was $4.73

I added 40K PSRU shares the other day (10K at .049 and 30K at .055) to my original buy of 60K shares at .065 for a total of 100K shares avg. .06.

Experiment was a success!!!!:thumbs: Great way to kick off the new year.

Currently at .11 and up 69% for the day....

You got brass balls playing the pennystocks, Confucian. I haven't done this for 8 years now, since the tech wreck, and am a better investor for it. (Sleeping now at night, hehe). Good luck in whatever you do.

ps, Gold has been very good to me.

I can sleep well as long as I have a stockcharts.com subscription. However, I get a little nervous trading options. They are pretty much the same thing as stocks except 150X the volatility!!!

Bought 20 contracts of DIA (follows the dow jones) $105 puts on Thursday at $1.24 ($2480 order). They closed on Thursday at $1.73 (worth $3460). However, I had the mindset that I will wait until the first trading day of 2010 (today) and sell to kick off the year with a nice realized gain. LoL. The Dow rallied 150+ points today and those same 20 contracts that closed at $1.73 closed today at 85 cents (worth $1700). Fortunately, for me, I was the first person to sell at opening bell and with extreme luck was able to escape at the day high price of $1.30 ($2600). So all that insanity/risk/volatility and I ended up making a small sum of money after taking out the options commissions.

I did buy the pincher play PSRU with 100K shares at .0606 avg. ($6,061) and the stock soared 76.92% today alone to close at $0.115 ($11,500). I think it will hit .15-.20 this week so I should be off to a great start this year. I posted this pick the same time I got in thinking maybe someone on this forum would want to join me for the ride....

Loaded in X March $50 puts:

X Daily chart as of 11am....Looking at some of the indicators, short/puts are clearly where to place bets...Note several things starting at the top of the chart:

RSIs (measure whether a stock is overbought/oversold) are pointed down, crossing south of the 50 line is bad

Using the $66.38 high and the recent $42.47 low you can put the Fibonnacci lines on the chart...X retraced 50% and that line (50%) is resistance

The 50 day moving average @ $52.95 was broken through today with X now trading under $52/share

The 4 indicators below the chart have all peaked out and are putting in a rounded top and headed back down

BEARISH EVENING STAR

This is a major top reversal pattern formed by three candlesticks. The first candlestick is a long white body; the second one is a small real body that may be white. It is characteristically marked with a gap in higher direction thus forming a star. In fact, the first two candlesticks form a basic star pattern. Finally we see the black candlestick with a closing price well within first session's white real body. This pattern clearly shows that the market now turned bearish.

I think I found a good match, compare the last 3 candles to the picture/description above
