Time from Annulment decision to Decree?

My Filipina fiancee was issued an annulment decision on March 20. It is now June 1, and she still doesn't have the decree. What is the normal lag time between the decision and the decree? It is the only thing holding up my filing of the I-129F. We paid a 10,000 PHP Sheriff's fee to help expedite the process, but that hasn't seemed to help. When she questioned the lawyer on the status last week, he got annoyed.

Thanks for any info on this, Lane

After the decision has been issued, the she should go back to court after 15days or more to get the finality. The clerk of court is the one who'll issue it.You got scammed by the sheriff, you should've not paid any amount since the annulment is almost over, all you need to do is wait for the amount of time required.

I agree with manilagirl, you should not have paid the anything because the decision was already out. Tell your fiancee to go back to the office where she got her decision and ask the court employees how she can get her Finality. The waiting time is for the Solicitor's General office in Makati to oppose the decision if it sees that there was something wrong with it. Since its past 15-30 days then she can ask for the Finality. I was in contact with one of the court employees while I was waiting for the Decision and Finality of my case. She was very helpful because I gave her 500 pesos when I asked her to keep me updated. When I got the Finality I gave them box of cake as the one who made it and had it signed by the Judge did not ask for anything.

In my case i got my decision last november and got my finality last december. After that i went to the LCR to forward my annulment decision, finality and you have to pay something like more or less 2,000 pesos after that i waited for 3 weeks until i got my annotated MC from NSO main Office.I went back again to the court to get my annulment Decree..and that was the end of my annulment process..
