My American husband and i have been married for almost 2 years now (it's going to be 2 years in Sept). I filed for my temporary green card just this January, because we were both working and moving around the country a lot, right now we are staying at his parents house in VA. So both of us are not on a lease and we basically don't have an evidence of living together. We've got mutual property, mutual medical insurance, mutual cell-phone contracts and lot's of pictures from different vacations and weddings. But nothing to prove that we are actually living together.

I might get an invitation for my first green card interview in July. But already in August we are moving to SF and getting our own place there. So my two questions are:

1)Should i change the date and place of my interview, and go for it in SF, when we'll already have a lease for our own place? Does it worth waiting?

2)Is there a chance to get a permanent green card if i go for an interview after September, after our two years anniversary?

Well, I am sure the USCIS can see all your moving around, due to your AR-11's, so that, in itself, would be good evidence that you are in a bonafide marriage, I would think.

I would gather what you have now and go to the interview. It's not a good idea to reschedule appointments with the government.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS
