Dba pag western union send thru bank account mas cheaper? but will take 3 days para mapasok sa account

yes western union is pricy :wacko: although xoom is great coz your hubby can just send it to your bank right away (3-5 days ata ang processing time but its cheaper maybe $3?) he can also wire the money in minutes thru xoom but its like $7-11? that was the quote i got before. BUT xoom is not permitted to do business in colorado banks thats why useless sa akin heheh (i tried it last dec. and it was a bummer for me)... but ever since 2006 my hubby and i are using ikobo money transfer (ikobo.com). ikobo will send you a visa debit in your name and you can use it to swipe anywhere that accept visa or you cash out from the ATM... cost will be $8 or less (or more) depending how much you send. i think $8 fee for up too $1000 that you send ata (i think)... its cheaper than western union. but there's a withdrawal fee as most cards are... he has to register and add some CC or DC for him to use every time he send you money... just try to visit ikobo.com see if you guys like it. practical for us. im using it for my mom now :thumbs:

Thanks for the info RonMay...So my hubby wont get a hard time sending it to me?or finding centers? kasi lagi nyang iniisip wala masyadong mga affiliated centers ang BDO sa Tennessee....I'l consider that!

kidding aside, yes your hubby can just go online and login to ikobo.com (pertaining he registered already) and he can send you money for as long as there's internet around and there's money on the card he's using... joke... meaning madali lng talaga sya... tsaka ok yung customer service nila pag may problema man... pwede sa chat or sa phone yung customer service

KASABOT MANKU NG BISAYA..GAMAY RA! NALIBOG MANKU SA IBANG WORDS....HAHAHA...TRYING HARD!!!

Maraming salamat sa topic...pwede ko na ba sabihin OP or SO? hehehehehe.....a big help for me.!!!!!....baka mag file nang bankruptcy asawa ko kasi mahal ang Western Union.....so, if we say bank account here, is it the account should be in US Dollars? or the Peso account will do................hindi pa namin na try ang direct transfer to peso account for the reason.......

1) Western union/Moneygram has better rate from USD to Peso........ (at least the current market peso rate)

2) Banks i.e. BDO or every bank has their own dollar rate which is way lower than the market rate...at least P 7-10 a $....so malaki na rin yon di ba?..........

3) So, kung magpadala mga hubby namin from US to our Peso account pareho ba exchange rate?......every penny count na ngayon...lalo na recession...hehehe

I have a BDO Peso Savings Account...

Can my hubby send me money straight to my account? Coz eversince we've been using Western Union but the fee is so expensive.

So he tried Moneygram...I'm really having a hard time with all the docs and signature needed...i dont like it!

I just want him to deposit money straight to my BDO account.

Oh!my husband is in Tennessee right now, and most of the Subsidiaries and Remittance Partners of BDO are mosty in California...just one in Texas,Illinois,Las Vegas, Seattle...but no Tennessee...

I know it will cost us fees too...but i rather have it straight on my account that going to any MoneyGram or Western Union Centers.

Just asking.....still confuse!

sabihin mo na lang sa fiance mo na padalhan ka na lang ng card tapos un na lang gamitin mo dito sa pinas...Ung sa akin ung USAA card ng fiance ko ang pinadala nya sa akin tapos un ang ginagamit ko..

Sana kung may account sya sa wells fargo mas madali kasi pwedi ka nyang kuhaan ng remittance card (ATM) dito sa US tapos ipadala jan sayo sa pinas with pin number na, pwedi mong i withdraw sa bank na accredited nila BPI or sa ATM machine na may kapareho ng sign sa likod ng ATM card "like credit", pag magpadala libre lang tapos withdraw mo nalang jan sa pinas gamit ang ATM, kung may account sya sa wells fargo pwedi syang mag transfer online di na kailangan punta ng bank libre pa, yan ang ginamit ko noon pag transfer pwedi mo makuha agad, at pag alis mo pwedi mo na rin iwan sa kamag-anak for future use o di ba...bongga!!! :thumbs:

Mariel USAA military card ung sinasabi ko...karamihan un ang gamit ng military sahod nila don pinapadala ayaw mo nun may access ka ng sahod ng asawa mo....lol....malalaman mo agad kung sumahod na sya o hindi..hahaha

mura lang parang USD3 lang ata per USD100. Pag USD1000 mga USD9 lang ata ung fee.

...hello Vj,if your husband have a debit account ...pwede syang maka-apply sa bank nya to produce another card like ATM card at ipadala sa inyo.So no hassle para sa kanya to go in the bank or to log in sa xoom kasi automatic na sya ....yong card my laman na.Yun,din ang ginawa ng husband ko kasi expensive talaga ang western union.

Western Unions in my area only charge $12 per transaction

Money is available for withdrawl from PI within 30 minutes

I use PLS Check Cashing and they are open 24 hours per day.

And we have about 10 PLS in my area
