I did not say it was not valid now, did I?

sheesh... who is in high school, again??

Yet you -- and others -- criticize it in the vain hope that he (and others) will suddenly become "enlightened" to your way of thinking. How childish.

Whatever DP, really. Again, your opinion is none of my concern. *yawn*

It's fairly obvious. The majority here believe they are right, no matter what the circumstance is or how much information is presented. In addition, the stance many take will consistently shift if doing so helps their own argument. If someone disagrees (for any reason), then they must be ridiculed and beaten down. After all... an opinion that differs from your own can't have any merit, right?

High school students are more mature than people in this place.

"fairly obvious"? puh-leaze.

My opinions are just that, opinions. I don't think I have "truth" tied to my undies. Whether people like my opinions or not is really none of my business. I find NO MERIT in hate - none whatsoever.

If your opinion is valid, then so is Danno's or anyone else's opinion.

If your assumption here is that all opinions are equal. Well... that isn't true.

Hence the self-righteous hypocrisy rears its ugly head.

Of course all opinions are equal. As Len demonstrated, however, some opinions are meaningless to others. Such closed mindedness does not surprise me.

I should note that I disagree with Danno's stance on same sex marriage. However, his opinion has the same level of merit as mine does.

Such adherence to political correctness doesn't surprise me.

But no - not all opinions are equal. If they were - then you could try to make a case for how the moon is made of cheese.

Where the blip did I say that? Listen kid, I choose not to give credence to opinions based on hate. Don't like it? Too damn bad. Your stupidity and arrogance do not surprise me, either.

Opinions have to be factual or at the very least can't be proven to be factually untrue.

There is nothing factual about the opinion that gays shouldn't be allowed to marry. That's a subjective opinion.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.

“There’s a storm gathering. The clouds are dark and the winds are strong and I am afraid. Some who advocate for same sex marriage have taken the issue far beyond same sex couples. They want to bring the issue into my life. My freedom will be taken away. I’m a California doctor who must choose between my faith and my job. I’m part of a New Jersey church group because we can’t support same sex marriage. I’m a Massachusetts parent helpless watching public schools teach my son that gay marriage is okay. Some who advocate same sex marriage have not been content with same sex couples living as they wish. Those advocates want to change the way I live. I will have no choice. The storm is coming. Yeah, freedom to be a douchebag.

I'm hardly PC and I believe many here know this. :P

All opinions are, in of themselves, equal. If someone believes the moon is made of cheese, fine. That's their opinion and they are entitled to it. I doubt very many people would agree, but agreement or disagreement are not qualifications for anyone's opinion. Sometimes you can't even prove an opinion, but that does not invalidate that opinion. An opinion is someone's belief and stance on an issue, that's all.

Stupidity and arrogance based upon disagreement? So then giving no credence to what you may believe is hate thereby implies you are stupid and arrogant. You won't agree, of course, but simply because you believe something and/or disagree with someone's stance, no matter what it is, does not make you right or the other person a hate monger.

Sometimes this board amazes me..
