I think I am a little behind the times..lol what is the difference between the Save the Date cards and the invitations?

From my understanding (having not sent either) Save the Dates are sent well in advance of the wedding (6-12 months or so)... I think some people use it sort of as an engagement announcement as well... but it's usually sent to people you intend to officially invite later. I guess people do it mostly as what it sounds... 'save the date', as in don't plan any vacations or other stuff on that day cause we're getting married! lol Then the invitation is the official thing that you send to people within a few weeks or months of the wedding, with all the info about where/when the ceremony/reception is. :)

ok thanks for explaining..

So I went to get my hair cut today and talked to my hair dresser about doing a trial run for the wedding and taking pictures.

So instead of a full trial run, we're doing "mini trial runs". Meaning today, she curled my hair, pined it up how she would like to see it blah blah.

So here is my hair curled. I was thinking if I went this route I would do a lose low ponytail.

What do you think?

The second picture made me giggle a little, your expression is cute.

I like the curls.

They look nice down, but I'm sure they'd look nice in a ponytail too.

I'm thinking about getting my hair braided from the left side of my head to the right in one full braid.

I'm not exactly sure how it's done, but I think they just keep picking up hair as they move over.

I think if I do that, I'm going to have a small veil under the braid and put flowers above or on the braid.

I always wanted flowers in my hair.

I like the curls! I still have yet to decide how to do my hair.... my hair is naturally curly, so it will probably be curls!

Yeah my hairdresser said I should definatly put my hair up since it's so straight.

Also, all the other hairdressers were like "Nice color Jackie (hairdresser's name)" and she was like " uh, it's her natural color".

When's your wedding again JillA?

I guess I can go look at the giant list lol.

Ooo Found it. Your sending your save the dates early (a good thing). I'm putting mine in the mail tomorrow I hope :P

OMG tell me about it, my bank account is gonna suffer next year! My wedding, and 5 friends and 1 cousin! And the cousin chose California to be married, one month after us so I don't know if we can make that one! 2 are in Canada, and I am a bridesmaid in one so lots of money to be saved in the next year

I think it's our age group.

I really do like that style Danu. I might actually do something similar for me. I want mine mostly down (my hair is straight and kinda flat LOL but i still look better with my hair down), but my fiance wants me to treat myself and make it look really nice.. hahah I think that style is a good compromise :) Plus I love the flowers as well

 yes, I know what you mean.

OH... I finally made a wedding website, btw! It's pretty simple since we're not having a wedding party, and don't need RSVPs at this ceremony. lol But if anyone wants to check it out it's http://www.ewedding.com/sites/daphdan
