according to USCIS website, all I-130 applications are processed at Chicago Service Center. Below is the link to the site.

I noticed you sent it to NSC. Why did you have to send it to NSC instead of CSC?

I didn't. I sent it to the Chicago lockbox and it was forwarded to California. I have had so many dealings with Nebraska that I put it without realizing.

I am just waiting for the cases to complete at NVC and get a interview date. The DS-230's are under final review so it should not be long before we are done at NVC.

NOTICE FOR ANYONE APPYING FOR A PARENT (IR-5).

I HAVE JUST GOT A RFE FROM THE NVC. NEW GUIDELINES ARE THAT THE PETITIONING CITIZEN MUST INCLUDE WITH THE DS-230 A ORIGINAL OF THE PETITIONERS BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE AND ANY DIVORCE PAPERS.

I will overnight them to NVC and hope it does not slow us down too much.

Thanks for sharing. I understand the birth certificate but don't know why they would need marriage certificate of the person applying for parents.

Yeh I agree, We had to send that info when we filed the I-130 with USCIS so I dont know why they are now asking for the originals, I just hope they give them to my parents at the interview or they will be lost forever.

I was so careful to make sure I had included everything that was needed and then NVC goes and changes what is needed and does not think to tell us when they issued the Instructions for the DS230. So I will have wasted another week before the case will be complete.

We were hoping for a July interview date but now that might not happen.
