I was wondering if you guys have seen Pimp This Bum, a website devised to try and rehabilitate a homeless man in Houston, Texas named Tim. I read about this in an MSN article, and apparently there is a bit of controversy stirring up as to the appropriateness of the project, particularly its title. The critics say its belittling the situation of the homeless, while supporters say that its a clever way to bring this issue to light.

Personally, I find it interesting, and I tend to agree with Tim that the name is pretty funny. But then again, I am not easily offended. Maybe this website won't lead to help for an entire demographic of the population, but if it helps at least one person, I don't know if the perceived harms are so bad.
