How ignorant!!!

and I only assume based on me working a part time one day a week job at dominos is that McDonalds Mgr would have offered her something else to eat in place of McNuggets first before offering to give money back.

I think it would have been tacky to be like, Ok mam we dont have anything you want and we are just refunding your money. Offering something else seems like what most places usually do.

and...to make matters worse.....they wanted to give her a McDouble.

According to the Fort Pierce Police Department, Goodman said to the 911 operator, "This is an emergency, if I would have known they didn't have McNuggets, I wouldn't have given my money, and now she wants to give me a McDouble, but I don't want one, this is an emergency!"

Why would it be tacky to say, "we haven't got those, so we're refunding"? (of course, it would have been sharper for cashier to check if the McNuggets were available in the first place, then say "sorry, we're out; do you want something else?" prior to taking customer's money, but...).

It would be nice wouldn't it. However, sometimes when someone have just ordered the last one. The next queue have already been inputted into the computer to let the grill people know that the upcoming order is chicken mcnuggets. By the time this information is relayed to the front, the driver have driven up to the front window to pay. The cashier will not know it's out until the driver have waited a 1-2 minutes.

The busier the restaurant, the harder it is to keep track of when the grill team announced an outage. These things cannot be avoided.

Could you please enlighten us on how you know Latreasa Goodman was using drive-through rather than eating inside?
