Thanks for bringing this to my attention and others attention. I did not have a clue about this. I hope they mention it in the packet they send so others are not caught off guard.

I have also been wondering if and when are they going to update Packet 4 to identify this new policy. Especially since they "claim" that the beneficiary will be required to reschedule the interview without having completed the DS-156 eform with the barcode. Thank God for this website and I feel really sorry for those who do not have a support group or informed immigration lawyer. I will continue to check the Packet 4 that is available through the Manila Embassy website to see if they make this update. Please keep us informed on whether your Packet 4 indicates that you must complete the DS-156 online. Oh, if the Packet 4 that you receive does not indicate that you must complete the eform for the DS-156. I suggest that you do it anyway. Better safe than sorry! Cheers!!!

Again, really appreciate what you are doing. I am beginning to figure out the process. I think I am a January interview so will keep passing information along.

No personal experience but i am an attorney here. My question is, what is the nature of that proof. Is it a judgment from the court certified. I think that would be real hard for them to dispute. I know here you can just go to the clerk of court and have them certify it. Good luck.

When you go there and ask for a copy of your annullment you get your marriage contract with the annotations in the margins that the marriage was annulled and lists the judge, court case number and date of the annullment. Calling the Manila embassy costs $18 per call plus the long distance charges. I was hoping that someone that went through the interview that had an annullment could enlighten me.

we'll see when we receive the package. i'm guessing there will be a notice to use EVAF instead of the

DS-156 paper form.

I submitted CERTIFIED TRUE COPIES of following to prove annulment:

1) Decision

2) Certificate of Finality

3) Certifificate of Registration

4) Original annotated marriage contract issued by NSO

Guys, the embassy will be closed on October 24 as the Philippine govt. has declared it a holiday in observance of Ramadan. So save your $$$ and don't call the embassy next Tuesday.

I have a question which form is the bank suppose to validate, the DS156 or the DS157? I have read in some posts that it looks like either could be validated, and that the important thing is to have the receipt? Dhonn completed the DS157 online and had the bank put a stamp on the back of it and got the recpeit, is this OK?

I did the same thing. I downloaded DS 157 online, filled out using Adobe and printed it out. I requested the bank if they can validate the form I have and they said it's no problem. But the lady said she can only stamp one copy (packet 4 instructs to fill out 2 copies of the DS 157).
