Fedex just close there hub in the philippines. It does not mean that they wont deliver anything in the philippines.

I still use fedex with my package delivery.

I suggest DHL.

I sent my docs to Mindanao, farther than Manila and it arrived in 3 days. The package was 9LBS with all our original documents, it arrived safely! it cost $160 but hey that's my life in that BOX!

Dun use FED EX! ops shutdown for them already back home

So which should I use? DHL or FedEX? USPS Global Express? I am shipping from US to Manila? Did Fedex really shut down?

Fedex closed down the Philippine hub. Feb. 7 2009.

Looks like DHL. I've used them coming this way with good results.

I sent a Vday package from Texas to Cebu via fedex on Feb 9, which arrived there on Feb 12.......????

This is my understanding of a "hub", i might be wrong... A hub is simply a centralized location or warehouse at a bigger scale...

I would say goodluck to fedex for making china as their hub.

But fedex wont stop sending packages in the philippines.

Filed: AOS (apr) Country: Philippines
Timeline
I hand delivered mine :P

I concur that this is the best way. Although I realize that it is not practical or possible for everyone. After thinking about it I decided that the best way to avoid any "proof of ongoing relationship" questions was to be waiting in the lobby during the interview.

As has already been pointed out quite capably, FedEx closed their "hub" in the Philippines. That does not mean that they no longer have a business presence there. It means that they no longer going to sort and redistribute regional packages there.

I have send many packages to Leyte via USPS Global Priority Mail and they haven't lost or stolen one of them yet. We did have one greeting card mailed first class that disappeared enroute. But like some other poster noted, those original documents are so difficult to replace. I will take ours in my carry on luggage

Good luck to the original poster on their upcoming interview.
