I got my packet 3 and I thought I had pretty much everything gathered but they are asking for the Long form of the birth certificate. I was just wondering if anyone else out there managed to get the longer version and how long it takes. Right now Montreal says the interview turn around is 4-6 months.. but how long to get the certificate? and what if my police certificates expire before then ? I got them yesterday, but what if it takes more than 6 months for the interview ? How long are they good for ? 6 mnths or 1 yr ?

- Also, seeing as I dont have my long version of birth cert, should I still mail the packet 3 away now anyways ?

I got mine from service ontario - the registrar general

it took a while, about 5 weeks to actually get it, and it was overpriced, $45 for one copy.

id suggest you look into getting it asap

but on the plus side service ontario had better customer service then the VSC, hope the quebec records people are good too

I received mine from Nova Scotia vital Stats in about 2 weeks.

I think the police report is good for a year? I know it was when I did them for my job.

Montreal is averaging 3-4 month for interviews, according to what many of us have recently experienced. They say 4-6 months as a high estimate usually.
