I got my SSN card but not yet change my married family name,i'm planning to wait my EAD until it arrives then change my name so that i can show my EAD at the same time to SSA office...what you think? what's best? ;)

That is how we did it. The SSA will not change your name until the DHS does.

That is how we did it. The SSA will not change your name until the DHS does.

So,i must wait my EAD? is this what you mean?

That is how we did it. The SSA will not change your name until the DHS does.

Same for us. We were told they can't change it until there is something official from the USCIS like the EAD or green card. Even when Claudeth got the EAD it still took about 6 weeks to get a new SS card with her married name.
