1) There are three credit bureaus: TransUnion, Experian and Equifax.

TransUnion and Experian seem to be more popular amongst credit card companies

than Equifax which is hardly ever queried (true/false?)

2) So far I know that

AMEX uses TransUnion

Bank of America also uses TransUnion

Capital One uses all three (very bad!)

HSBC uses Experian

First USA (Chase?) uses Experian

Wells Fargo Bank uses Experian

Citibank uses ????? (anyone know?)

3) Does anyone know what minimum FICO score is required to get:

- AmEx Blue Cash card

- Chase Free Cash Rewards Visa Card

- Citi Dividend Platinum Select MasterCard (and/or other Citi credit cards)

I need a new credit card (preferably one that earns you points or air miles) but

don't want to needlessly apply and lower my credit score if it's not good enough.

I'm looking for feedback such as "my score was 710 and I got an Amex card" or

"my score was 668 and my Citi platinum credit card application was rejected".

Thanks

Mark
