All in all, process is moving ahead smoothly. Looks like some people have gotten the physical started before receiving the packet 4 and interview date?

You need to have the physical done prior to sending in Packet3.

The guy who did ours and a couple others charged 200THB! So being an american I wanted to raise a stink but figured we'd never see the report. Has other people been charged for this service?

Looks like they figured out a way to make a few baht. I would still press for a receipt. I have receipts for everything we did as part of the process.

Ok, now I am confused. The medical is not listed on the document checklist, but else where in the packet 3? I am back home now and don't have the package... I looked as to what has been posted here for the document checklist and it does not have the medical listed. Someone straighten me out here, please.

My Thailand trip was great, Krabi was very nice, did the Island tour, hiking tour and a nice Sea kayak tour as well. Of course getting to see Nan was the best part!

Nan is going back up north to get her verification of non-married status next week, hopefully that will go smooth.

Thanks for your help!

There is a couple of minor items I need to update related to the I-134 but this should help you.

Super Simple Post NOA1 Checklist

Thank you so much for the reference link, its a nice, concise listing. It is a nice guide, but how were you notified when to take the exam?

What I do not see in Packet 3 information mailed out, is any reference to a doing a medical prior to mailing packet 3 in. The K1 Flow chart on this site lists the medical after sending in packet 3, but prior to interview,,,

Fiance(e) must attend medical interview prior to interview

Attend medical appointment.

*Some embassies require the medical the same day as the interview. Most require the interview to be done ahead of time and have the results sent to the embassy directly from the doctor.

*This may occur after an interview date is given

I assumed that the medical was indicated when the interview date was given in packet 4.

So this K1 Flow chart is not the same for all US embassy? I had Nan go over the whole packet 3 for any information on the medical and it does not contain any references. Was something left out? Could someone please let me know where in the packet 3 this reference shoud be? Or is there another source of information I am missing? Thanks so much for any help.

Gene & Nan

You can wait for packet 4 but there is no need to do so. I made the checklist while in Bangkok prior to our NOA2. My SO is somewhat of a procrastinator so I built the checklist as we did everything together. That way I made sure it was done and off MY checklist.

BTW they have the medical forms at the hospital.

Chada called the travel agent Mommy and someone else recommended. They indicated June 9th - Sept 8th was high season for travel to the US and a 1 way ticket was about 950.00. They also said the tickets would get more expensive as seats sold out. That was about the same price that I was finding on the US websites... :(
