No stamp on passport

I am Canadian and recently got married to an Amerrican and am now starting the Visa journey. I live in Orange County with my Husband.

I crossed the Buffalo border July 1st 2008. When I went through, the border agent took my passport into his little booth and came out and said go ahead. He never gave me a stamp but I don't know if my passport was scanned either. Now I have been told I will need evidence for INS that I came to the US legally but have none because I never got a stamp. I am wonder if anyone knows if they scan it now and don't stamp anymore. This way if needed, I could be tracked.

Otherwise I have to leave the US, come back and keep my bording pass as evidence but I can't leave until I have my travel permit I have been told. So now I am stuck unless I can get this travel permit without needing evidence of when I crossed.

Anyone have any info?

You posted this in the K-3 forum, you should have a K-3 visa in passport, and an I-94 arrival/departure record card.

You adjust status based on the I-130 filed for the K-3.
