hi fellow vjers,

I used a joint sponsor for our I-864 and she put her married name on the form, lets say Mary Smith. I recently received an RFE for proof of citizenship of the joint sponsor but her passport has her maiden name Mary Jesse Geller. Would the difference in names be a problem? and if so what could I do?

you should send in a copy of co-sponsor's naturalization papers and also a certified copy of his/her marriage license. if the co-sponsor is divorced, you should also send in a certified copy of the divorce decree. im not sure, but i think if your co-sponsor is married, you must send in the spouse's info too.
