probably not. the major factor in being approved for a tourist visa is being able to show significant ties to the Philippines,

are you single?

coz if you're young and single, its also very hard to get a tourist visa knowing you can easily get married in the US and or get a job. that came from the US officer's mouth who work at the embassy before and was being interviewed a long time ago... regardless if you're rich or not, its hard to get a tourist visa much more to those who're single and young... but you never know right? good luck to you if ever you wana go for it! God bless!

not necessarily. i was issued a tourist visa when i was 20. the most important thing is that you establish ties to the phils.

i know. im just saying that most would be in that case. heck my cousin got a tourist visa 7 yrs ago and she was 23 yrs old that time. they're pretty well off per se (lots of ties to prove) and the only thing that made them gave her a visa was that she has one more subject left to finish before she'll graduate... while on the other hand, her sibling who just graduated last yr, applied for a visa got denied coz he's single and young blah blah blah and my grandma whose w/ him got approved lol and now... both of them are well off but there's a down side on the other person... BUT if you're LUCKY, you're LUCKY, you'll get it no matter what... all you do is try  never know

getting a b1/b2 visa is a game of luck and you need to prove and show that you have ties to go back to the philippines. when i had my interview years back i was 25 years old, single and working. i was given a 5 year multiple entry and they only asked me about my previous travel to usa. i had to show my old passports with my old usa visa. I was also ready to show documents like bank accounts etc. but they never asked me. actually it is scary to apply for a tourist visa coz there is only a small percentage that they will be giving you one. i guess i was one of the lucky ones or maybe because since they saw in my file that i've been traveling. good luck if you are applying for one.
