hi, my fiancee is from the philippines, she is 2 months pregnant, i want to ask what will happen when she goes to the medical exam at st lukes, will she be able to go thru the medical exam, and also will she be given the required vaccinations and x rays? please if anybody has gone thru this process before, i would appreciate if anyone can tell me what the process is like, i plan to be with her when she goes to the medical and interview, but i just want to know what to expect. Will they deny her the medical exam and make us come for the medical exam after she gives birth?

thank you

Hi. I just had my medical last week. I saw some pregnant women there. I think your fiancee can still undergo the medical exam. Of course she won't undergo the usual routine like x-ray or have vaccinations. But she can still have the blood extraction, physical exam. Most probably, St Lukes will just notify your fiancee's condition to the US embassy so there won't be any problems with that.

Best regards,

Ynatots

Hi jab, I remember when I had my medical there was a couple who had their baby went through a DNA test. I have no idea what are the criteria of undergoing DNA test. Just want to inform that some cases happened that way. God bless!

They require DNA test when the baby is born out of marriage. If the baby is born the time the parents are already married they would not require the test. I went home sa PInas to gave birth but i was not asked of the test. The test is to prove that the father is the child's father.

They do require DNA test even of the parents are married.

they require DNA test if the consul is not satisfy with your proof that you were here during the baby's conception... so get ready with pictures and the entry/ exit stamp of your pasport during the time when your baby was conceived..
