hi i just find out that this site is very useful...i just want to find out about my case...i was married in philippines...since there is no divorce in Philippines i got my divorced in Honkong so i came in USA as a fiancee' visa and got married yo a US citizen........I just want to find out how long should i wait before i can change my family name (ex husband family name on my passport) to my married name?

You can use your married name (US husband's surname) on filing AOS as well by renewing your passport, too. How long? You can file AOS anytime now since you are already married to your US hubby.

Aug. 17, 2009.....NOA

Sept.01, 2009.....biometric appointment

Sept.12, 2009.....rcved interview letter

Oct. 19, 2009.....date of interview....passed!!!!!

Nov. 18, 2009.....Oath Ceremony...yahooooooooo!!!!!!!!!
