Hello, I want to thank the board for supplying information and vital communication to the K1 community. I have read a bit of the IMBRA posts and some of the Juarez stuff as it relates to my case. I believe I was one of the 1100 petitions recalled after March 6th. Our petition was actually approved on April 6th and the consulate in Juarez called my fiancee on May 31st to tell us that it was being sent back. Interesting, 2 days before that I had booked the trip to Juarez for both of us! Well, we are still going but it looks highly unlikley at this point that the petition will be ready for the dates of our trip. I have spoken to all of the agencies involved (NVC, USCIS, consulate) and they basically have said they do not know much but things will happen soon, keep checking. I look forward to learning more about these issues and I hope to contribute in a positive way to this group.

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

10/07/2006 WEDDING DAY!

11/14/2006 AOS packet made it to 'the box' after being overnighted.

12/02/2006 Paul had biometrics

12/14/2006 AOS Forwarded to CSC AND AP Application approved.

01/17/2007 First touch of 2007 at CSC

01/20/2007 Touched AGAIN (also the 18th) come on...

February: Oops, RFE for a REGISTERED marriage certificate. Oops! Overnighted it.

02/28/2007 Paul gets email letting us know his GREENCARD is on it's way! It's done...for now!

03/09/2007 Paul's greencard arrives. And breathe...

We began with mailing the I-129 in on February 27, 2006 so the whole process took us approx. one year.

When I joined, I thought, "Don't these people have LIVES?" Why spend so much time here???

Count me in now, as one whose life centers around VJ and this process... at least for now. :(

Thanks everyone for the kind welcome! Yes, I have checked quite a bit lately, it helps that I have a short break from my job right now. It's interesting to see how fast thoughts are spread on this forum. I'm in the same boat with most of you and hopefully they will let us know soon what the next step will be.
