What happened to this guy book deal?

I wouldn't hold much hope for it - there were big job cuts at the major book publishers in NYC last week and a lot of them have a submission freeze on new titles.

Joe is with a small publisher from Texas I believe - might still come out. But smaller publishers have higher risk... right now its not looking good for anyone.
