Thank you everyone for you input I really appreciate it. Guess all I can do is wait. At least I will see my fiancee for xmas for two weeks. Guess that could make up the time. I am just trying to prepare all the documents for him so we have everything ready when he goes to his interview ( whenever that will be). The only thing I am confused about is the affadavit of support. I dont have tax returns to supply cause I was going through a divorce last year well got divorced Nov 2007 but i didnt have a job then. I have a job now and with my child support and alimony plus my job I make over the poverty limit. I am going to supply my divorce agreement with the affadavit plus my pay stubs plus a bank statement from my bank I already got my employer letter which he has already. It is just the tax returns I am worried about. Do I really need them. Does anyone know. But i have to say I get alot of information from talking to people that are in the same boat as me. That I am not going through this alone. That is a real comfort. So I thank everyone so much for making me feel like I am not alone. Hugs to you all. xxx

Is there anyone else that hasnt received their NOA2. I am way over my timeline now It is almost Dec 1 and they had my application since June 24 it got touch july 10 and I havent heard about anything ever since. My fiancee is coming to visit me for the holidays he is arriving Dec 24 and staying until Jan 8. I am not sure if that would cause a problem the way the paperwork is going Im sure he wont receive his packet 3 anytime soon. Wish I could hear something soon. Hope it is not stuck under a pile and forgotten about. :crying: Just hoping for a light at the end of the tunnel.

I haven't received my NOA2 either. It's been since July 22nd, touched on Oct 8th. *sigh*

The affadavit of support requires tax returns or tax transcripts.

I think even if you did not have a job, you still would have been required to file a tax return. If your ex filed a tax return, your ex would have been required to claim you. I'm not a tax man or accountant, but you should probably contact someone who can answer your question, maybe even the IRS.

Good luck
