Can anyone help me? I am posting this here and because I was told in the Embassy forum that the answer to my question is consulate specific.

In the uscis website, under instructions for filling out the I-134, http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-134instr.pdf, I don't see where including your tax forms from last year are required, or even requested. I looked in the US Embassy in Amsterdam's website, and can't find instructions for this form, on what to include. Anyone know? Do I HAVE to include last year's taxes?

Thanks!

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1guide if you scroll down to the bottom of this page, it gives you a checklist for what to do after you've received your NOA2.

I've been under the impression though that you also need to include your tax returns. Johnny mentioned something to me about it being your last three tax returns. They may not come out and say you need to send it in, but my theory is; you can never be too safe. I'd add them just to make sure you are covering all of your bases.

Peet I am so glad that Jack is going with you to the interview! Wooah...counting down to see him again I guess!

Liz, I am so happy for you that you got the house! Congrats and good luck with it!

About us...

Today 07-07-2009 We finally got military expedite, they approved the expedite after a memorandum from my husbands commander!

USCIS website says last update 07-07-2009

We are so glad with the expedite, after a couple calls, emails and lots of waiting (my husband was on training couldnt get that memorandum earlier, they told us we need that in an email just before he went for training)...and also military helpline with trouble on their computer!

Hope we are going the good way now! So really hope we don't get an RFE but an approval of the I-130 soon!!!

And counting down... in 1 month be by my husband again!!! WOOAH!

Is your husband being deployed and this is why you were able to get military expedite?

Do you know if it's possible to get one if the American petitioner is just in boot camp and then just being stationed with a desk job somewhere within the US?

WE got military expedite because there is a very big chance that he is deployed beginning of 2010. Right now with going out of Iraq etc. etc. it isn't sure but still a chance.

So he went to his commander officer and explained the situation, and the commander said: if you are not happy that your wife isn't by you and there is a possible upcoming deployment I will write a memorandum for you.

About boot camp... I have no idea, i will say, he can always ask his commander or a higher ranked person. No is what you have but can change in yes isn't it? I thought, even with just a desk job you can get deployed? I know in the army it can!

There is a USCIS military helpline, they can always call them and ask for expedite. They most of the time ask for a letter from the commander, that letter is what you can email them. They can ask for a memorandum in the military world.

Sorry Lindsey i can't really answer your question, just happy we got that expedite!

Just a question.

Our package is going from CSC to NVC, there we need to fill out more forms and pay more etc.

I am going to the USA August 4 and be back beginning of September. My husband planned a "late" honeymoon! :-)

Now i am just a little worried.... what if everything goes well at NVC and it come to NL end of July... what if they schedule an interview for like August... can i change that day???

Really hope i can finish everything in September/October, like the medical and the interview. and start packing etc.

BECAUSE if everything is before August 4... and get a visa... it will take a while before you get your passport etc. back... so I don't dear to take that chance because really want to go to my husband like we planned.

So, my fiance called the embassy in Amsterdam to ask him the above, among other things. They said, first and formost...STAY AWAY FROM THE FORUMS! Hahahahahaha...But they also said that unless you are self employed, you do not need to send in any tax information. Just thought I would let ya know what they said. This is very good news for me, as I filed jointly with my now ex husband last year and was kind of stressing me out on how they would separate it. I make well above the required amout for the Affidavit of Support, so this is one less thing to worry about.

Blu - I had wondered about the tax returns also since last year is the only one where I didn't file with my ex husband. I did like Lindsey said and sent just last years to be safe. I am pretty sure thought that the tax returns are not needed...YET! I've read somewhere that they will be required during AOS....i'll have to see if I can find that again.

I think they may be required for AOS too. I have heard the requirements are different, but we will cross that bridge when we get to it. If we don't AOS until next year, my taxes will be filed as a single person anyway. So, it will be MUCH less confusing!

Well, I don't want to dissapoint you, but it's quit unlikely you will have an interview within a few months. Unless the NVC has woke up and actually started doing something....... My I-130 got approved in November and had to wait 6 months till I finally had my interview in May. I agree it has been a while ago, but I doubt much have changed in regards to their processing time. If you like to know how long it takes look at people with similar timelines who are ahead if you int the process!

Good luck and don't forget to be patient! I already gave my notice at work to be with my hubby for Christmas, but glad they wanted to keep be because I just made it 2 days before our anniversary half a year later!

Since I'm curious and completely bored out of my mind here at work, I went ahead to see how quick the NVC is right now. If everything goes smooth you will be looking at about 3 to 4 months processing time till your interview. Remember, things can easily take longer, we got an RFE because they changed something after we already had submitted the documents!!

So does anyone have any idea, or have a link I can find this out, approx how long it takes from the time the consulate receives your packet 3 back, to the actual time of your interview? I saw it was around 5 or 6 weeks or so on the embassy info page, but that hasn't been updated since last year sometime, and wondered if this was still true.
