It can get pretty hot in Connecticut. But the air in America is different. When I was there for 3 months I was able to breathe a lot better then here in Holland. It's like when you go to Spain or Greece, the heat is just different. Hard to Explain. lol

Love is patient and kind;

it is not jealous or conceited or proud;

love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable;

love does not keep a record of wrongs;

love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth.

Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail.

Love is eternal.

Yep, we usually have a pretty high humidity here, which makes it harder to endure the really warm days.

When I am in Pa, I have little to no problems with this heat, here I stay inside as much as I can.

How is everyone?

Hope things are ok?

Here I am starting to think about packing, also organizing a farewell party for family and friends.

Jack hopes to be here for the interview on the 27th and the party on the first of august.

We are trying to figure out when we can move, looks now like it all depends on when both dogs can fly.

Yeah, the humidity is horrible that close to the water!

Wow...you are a busy girl!! hehe! I hope you can get it all planned and be home with Jack really soon!!!

Everything is ok here....frustrated a bit with the Consulate but oh well...lol! Pat's all moved out of his house and is staying with his mom. So moving here will be MUCH easier...pack a couple of suitcases, put the cat in his travel cage and he's good to go! :dance:

Oh yes, that is exiting!!!

Hope you will get your NOA fast now!

Liz, I am jealous.

I will have to clear my house, pack everything get rid of all my stuff in about two weeks I think after we get our visa's.

There is no way my parents, or any of my sisters is going to let me live there for a few weeks with son and both dogs.

And I really would like to bring my books and pc :blush:

Still not sure what the best way is, I don't have enough for a container, but mailing it all would be very expensive also I guess...

Aww, sorry Peet! Pat did all of that the last two weeks...he moved stuff to his mom's, threw stuff away, left some there for the new owner too!

I'm not sure what would be the best/cheapest way.....can you put some of your things in storage until your able to ship them home?

I think the humidity in Holland is in no way comparable to the heat here in Florida! I find it very bearable there in comparison to the summer months here. [aside from the lack of air conditioning haha]

You are right, was in October in Florida once and a few days it was like walking into a wall when you stepped outside.

Mmhmm the humidity here hits you almost instantly, it's awful! The Netherlands has nothing on Florida! haha

It's really bad right now, not only is it really hot, but it rains almost every afternoon so it's extremely muggy during the day.

You need to send some of that rain to Texas, Lindsey! We're so desperate for it right now!

Need some replies from the Dutch people that already had their physical examination please?

I made an appointment at Dr. Schultes office and they told me to call the place you get your x-ray to make an appointment at 1 PM.

There they told me I didn't need to do that, I could just walk in, is that right?

And the dr office and the papers from the consulate tell you to schedule an appointment for the same day :huh:

Help?

(slightly panicking now)

I called them to make an appointment and mentioned right away that it was for the medical for a visa application. They asked me when I had my medical and scheduled me 2 hours later for the x-rays. I was way to early for the x-rays but they never really asked for my appointment time and just went ahead to take them.

Just call the x-ray place and explain the situation, surely they will tell you if they work on a walk-in or appointment basis.

It sounds weird, but the doctor who does your medical doesn't look at the X-rays. Everything is forwarded to the embassy, there they will look at it. At the end of your interview you will get the big envelop back with the X-ray and you have to take it to the POE (in my case Houston, but they never looked or asked about it).
