Have any K-1 filers for Mexico received your invitation letter and packet 3 from the Juarez Embassy since the 1st week of September, 2008?

My fiance and I know that Juarez has had our approved petition since September 24th but we have not received any communication from them at all regarding our case. I have contacted them twice by phone and the first response was it would be 2-3 months and the second response was 2-3 weeks. I have the feeling that they are just making up something to keep me from calling them again.

According to the VJ files, it does not appear that anyone has received their invitation letter since September 5th......what is going on????? Anyone have an idea of why they would suddenly stop processing?:wacko:

What number did you use for the consulate? The numbers I tried didn't work? Our NOA2 was approved 10/10

thanks, Marko

Try email! For us this has been the fastest way to communiate with our embassy. That sounds like it is taking way too long.

Skyler, my attorney sent an e-mail request 3 weeks ago but the Consulate has not responded.

For all those anxiously awaiting the K-1 interview invitation letter and packet from Juarez, it appears they stopped sending them the end of August and resumed the end of November. Ours just arrived November 29th and shows that it was mailed (via regular US snail mail) on November 24th. It took 66 days from the time the consulate received our approved petition from NVC until the packet arrived.

The whole packet contains just 14 pages of instructions and forms (some duplicated in english and spanish).

1. Invitation Letter

2. Notice of new consulate location

3. Form CDJ-446 (notice of Visa fee and payment methods)

4. Form CDJ-400 (instructions for medical and interview)

5. Form OF-167 (public charge proof of support)

6. Form CDJ-430 (documentary proof of marriage.....should be for K-3 I think)

7. Form Mexwide-202 (Medical exam instructions and fees...don't forget to add the 10% IVA tax)

8. Form CDJ-402 (letter of intent to marry....do not sign until consular tells you to)

9. Form DS-156K

10. Notice of prohibited items which can not be brought into the consulate building.

HI, According to your timeline we should get something in about a week? Our app from NVC was mailed out Oct 1O to Juarez. Can you reply about your experience at the consulate and the medical process since you are going to the new location. Thanks...marko

The consulate in Ciudad Juarez received our approved 1-129 petition from the NVC on January 1 and we received our letter of invitation to interview on January 31. I don't know if that was abnormally fast, but you should be getting something soon. Good luck!
