Hello to Everyone. My friend from Cleveland Ohio wanted to know some information about her passport. She got married last year and have her greencard already, for now she is planning to visit Pinas on January/09, Can she travel with just her PI passport ( which is not under her married name ) and GC or she need to Report her marriage and ammend her passport although it is not expired yet? Is it safe for her to just bring the Marriage certificate to support the GC?or else she need to ammend her passport beforre she can go plan to travel...if its not really important to ammend passport before travelling outside the US,hope anyone can share with me about the supporting documents for my friend to bring during the travel...pls.... your replies is highly appreciated...thanks to all....

Just got back from Pinas after 5 and a half months stay there. I am a GC holder but i had to ammend my passport before i left US and never had a problem going back here in the US.

My wife is over in the PI right now. She didn't get her passport amended before she left here. She took a copy of our Marriage Certificate along with her GC so she can reenter the US. We got her airline tickets in her maiden name to match her Passport. She won't have any problems reentering the US Dec 1st as long as she has the Marraige Certificate to show proof of name change.
