Holy Moly! Guess that was a surprise....a welcome one! Congrats!

Um, just a tad, heh...

Now my employer's pissed. I told him I'd probably be around for another four months, at least. Haha. Oops.

Well, just because you have your Interview on Nov. 20, and you'll probably get your visa 3-7 days after doesn't mean you necissarily have to activate it then :P

Aw man.

The Toronto medical office is closed already, I dont want to leave a message.

I'll call tomorrow to see what date they give me and if I dont like it, I'll try Montreal :/

I haven't read all the posts, so I'm not sure if anyone commented on this or not...

I called Toronto medical a few weeks ago just to get a sense for how far out they were booking (we're trying to plan a formal ceremony as well). I also got their message system and left a vm. Someone from their office called me back within a few hours. I got the impression that was the only way to get in touch with them. Just thought I'd share :)

Congratulations to everyone who has an interview date, and good luck to those still waiting. I'll be waiting here soon hopefully :)

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

202-663-1225 is the number I've always called...

That's the number I used too.

There's a looooong message at the beginning, that mentions several other numbers to call. At the end of the message it says to Press 1, etc etc.

01/08/2010 - Applied for SSN in maiden name.

01/09/2010 - Married! Officially a Missis.

01/19/2010 - Received SSN in mail.

02/10/2010 - Sent I-485/I-131/I-765 to Chicago.

02/19/2010 - NOA dates for all applications.

02/22/2010 - Received NOAs in mail.

02/23/2010 - Applied for SSN for married name.

03/04/2010 - Applied for Florida DL in married name.

03/09/2010 - Biometrics appointment.

yes.. he's trying option 1 then 0... i dunno what he's doing... apparently this is something he's incapable of. lol

Apparently, 1-202-663-1541 is the Department of State Visa Bulletin number. I assume it just gives automated information. I don't think your fiance is doing something right on their IVR.
