Hi VJ members,

I received an REF from the California Service Center asking for a new physical with immunization and a new afffidavit of support.Iam through with the physical so far , but Iam still worried about the eligibility of the joint sponsor. She is my USC wife's aunt. She is single. Her annual income for 2005,2006 and her current annual income for this year is well beyond the poverty guidelines. But, she had a very low annual income for 2007 basically because she was struck by cancer and had to quit to go through Chemotherapy. Now thank God, she is cancer-free and got a good managerial job.

So, I am wondering what is the USCIS criteria for a joint sponsor eligibility? Is it about what the joint sponsor made during the last 3 years tax returns , or importance is only given to the most recent tax return(2007) , which is not good news in my case, or what matters is the evidence of actual annual income? Does anyone have a clue to this?

Thank you
