OK, so I called the helpline and asked can they look into my case as it is way out of the processing time, received a letter today telling me to make an InfoPass as they need more information on our case, althoughthey do not tell me what information they need? I went to an InfoPass a few weeks ago and they told me they could give me no further information as my application is still at National Benefits Center...

Anyone had anything like this before, seems strange that I have to take another day off work to go to InfoPass to tell them they need more information but I don't know what, after they told me nothing when I went 3 weeks ago

Well, calling the 800 number won't do any good. I would suppose that you go back there and show them the letter again. Tell them that you need a copy of the RFE (request for additional evidence) issued to me as I never received it. If they reply in negative, tell them that I need something in writing to prove that I don't have anything to provide anything. You do have a letter saying to visit the local office and provide additional information then you have to have a letter saying that they can't do anything. Also if nothing works out, see if you can talk to a supervisor over there. I cannot emphasize enough to be persistent and get something from them. If that does not work out, call the 800 number and see if you can catch an immigration officer. If you are connected tell him/her the whole story and ask him/her if he/she can contact the local office or send you the request for evidence in the mail.
